Already at the end of the 80s at Finale the first mountain bike races were organized, renowned then by top riders for the particularly technical tracks. Famous races of the late '90s honored by the presence of Paola Pezzo and Hubert Pallhuber that lead to catalyze the attention on the Finale more and more.
The year of the breakthrough is 1999, the year in which All Mountain Bike organizes the Funky Day in Finale Ligure and the Mountain Bike museum based in the USA in Colorado moved for four months to Finalborgo together with the Hall of Fame celebrating at Finale Ligure, for the first time in Europe, non-American athletes. It is no coincidence that in the same year, at the same time as Funky Day, we organize the first 24 hours of Finale Ligure.
It is in those years that the name of Finale Ligure begins to appear on world maps of Rider from all over the world. The Finale begins to see the first bikers from abroad, who fall in love with the territory and the perfect climate 365 days a year, will be more and more numerous turning the Finale into one of the world mountain bike mecca. The 24-hour continues to grow, becoming an increasingly prestigious prestige race, until arriving to host the first world championship for the SOLO category in 2012.
The Finale offers paths suitable for any MTB discipline and it is no coincidence that since 2008 it has hosted one of the most important international competitions of Enduro MTB. The Finalenduro presents a different race track every year, thus highlighting the quantity and variety of itineraries that the Finale can offer to the bikers.
